Behind the Scenes of Chat & Chill : a women’s hangout event to connect & inspire.
When I started planning Chat & Chill, I knew I wanted to create something different—a space for real connection. The idea behind it wasn’t about selling anything or hyping up future events; it was simply to bring women together and give us all a chance to connect. I felt like there was a need for a space where we could just *be*—talk, laugh, and share without any expectations. And that’s exactly what Chat & Chill turned out to be.
The Planning Process: It Takes a Village
Organizing a community event like this doesn’t happen overnight. Between coordinating with The Chattaway, organizing the lineup with amazing women-led businesses like Bliss Mode Wellness , Fly Girl Thrift, and feel shitty look pretty and making sure the vibe stayed authentic, there were a lot of moving pieces. From figuring out logistics to working with Turn Up Tee and Zeta the babe for the perfect performance set, every detail was considered to ensure the event felt chill, intimate, and fun.
It’s important to me that the energy of Chat & Chill was inviting—no pressure, no sales pitch, no expectations. I wanted everyone to feel comfortable and seen, whether they knew me or were meeting me for the first time. The magic of the event came from the mix of familiar faces and new ones, making it clear that this space was truly welcoming for all. Seeing people show up that I didn’t know and leave with new connections was hands down the most rewarding part of the day.
Why I Created This Event
At the core of Chat & Chill, it’s all about fostering authentic girlhood. I’ve always felt strongly about the power of women supporting women, and that’s why I made this event. It wasn’t about profit or planning the next big thing. It was about creating a space where we could just show up for each other—no strings attached.
The turnout exceeded my expectations, and the connections made were the highlight of the night. It’s those genuine conversations and shared moments that prove how much we all need spaces like this—places where we’re reminded that we’re all just girls, figuring it out together.
